Gym Workout Pelican Park Recreation Centre

Pelican Park offers modified exercise programs for older adults ranging from water based exercise to strength building and cardio activities.

Medical Eligibility is Required for our All Access Programming.

Please download an All Access Medical Form and submit completed application Email to or drop it into the facility.  Applications must be submitted before commencing classes.

Prime Movers
A fun and easy aerobics class which is a little more “slow paced” than the traditional freestyle class.
Locations: Civic Reserve Recreation Centre and Somerville Health & Fitness Studio

Stay On Your Feet
Build strength and improve cardio levels, especially designed for older adults.
Locations: Civic Reserve Recreation Centre, Pelican Park Recreation Centre and Somerville Health & Fitness Studio

MS - Gym
Tailored gym program modified to suit the needs of those who may have suffered a stroke, have lung problems or MS.
Locations: Pelican Park Recreation Centre & Civic Reserve Recreation Centre

Suitable for participants who have suffered a stroke.

Agestrong Offsite Classes Modified exercise for the over 50s
Run in partnership with Peninsula Health. These classes are rehabilitative and designed to increase strength, balance and fitness levels.

Physical activity directory for older people

The Physical Activity Directory lists more than 200 physical activity groups that are available across Frankston and the Mornington Peninsula. The directories have been developed in partnership by Peninsula Health, Mornington Peninsula Shire and Frankston City Council.  Groups include dancing, strengthening programs, gentle exercises, walking and water exercises. Each listing includes the cost, times and a description of the group.
