Revitalisation of Pelican Park Recreation Centre

Mornington Peninsula Shire will be undertaking essential maintenance and renewal works at Pelican Park Recreation Centre.
These vital works involve the replacement of current plant equipment including heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and boilers, alongside necessary repairs to the pool shell, as well as other works to improve the facility and your overall experience. These works are necessary to ensure our community can continue to enjoy visiting Pelican Park into the future.
The closure will commence from Saturday 11 January 2025 for approximately 6 months. The gym will be closed as of Monday 6 January 2025 to relocate gym equipment. Mornington Peninsula Shire will provide regular updates while we work towards enhancing the facilities at Pelican Park Recreation Centre. PELICAN PARK POP UP GYM
We’re excited to bring you a pop-up gym still open 7 days a week right here in the main street of Hastings with our first day of operation from 8am Saturday 11 January 2025. Our Health Club team will be here to help you keep moving, stay motivated, and achieve your goals! You’ll still have access to our BEGiN programming, ensuring a smooth continuation of your fitness goals in a new environment and essential amenities like accessible toilets and lockers for your convenience.

HASTINGS COMMUNITY HUB & SOMERVILLE RECREATION CENTRE
We’re excited to announce our pop-up group fitness will be located nearby making it easy to stay active during this transition. For our foundation members, it’s a nostalgic return to the 'original' group fitness studio, bringing back the memories! We will also be holding our favourite evening and weekend classes at Somerville Recreation Centre. Our pop-up timetable will be released following the Christmas timetable and will commence Saturday 11 January 2025. Amenities include accessible toilets and showers for your convenience.

- Land-Based ‘Aqua’ Classes - a low-impact workout on dry land.
CRIB POINT OUTDOOR POOL
Lap lane availability will be updated weekly for lap and recreational swimmers and our Aqua Aerobics schedule will be shared after the Christmas timetable period commencing Saturday 11 January 2025.

The Crib Point Outdoor Pool will operate seven days a week with the following hours from Saturday 11 January 2025.
- Monday to Friday 6am - 9pm
- Weekends 8am - 7pm
- Public Holidays 8am - 4pm
Important Information About GOswim
Our 2025 GOswim program will resume across both Crib Point Pool and Yawa Aquatic Centre Rosebud from Monday 20 January following our Summer Swimming and Intensive programming here at Pelican Park.
Where possible, lesson days and times will match those transitioning from Pelican Park. To assist the team in scheduling classes, please advise a member of our ASO team at your next lesson your preferred location for 2025 lessons.
Additional Aquatic Service Officers (ASOs) will be available on pool deck from Monday 9 December to Sunday 22 December between 9am - 12pm and 4pm - 6pm.
